A few hours ago, if you were to search for the word "gun" on Google shopping, you would have received 0 (zero) results.

They're tweaked it a little, so now you at least get toy guns.

Searching for "real gun" yields the same results.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

I had never heard of "Google Shopping" until your entry here.

I've always just typed whatever I'm looking for into the main Google box.

Tried it just now with "gun" and all manner of gun stores, gun sites, ammo for sale and so on.

Google is pathetic and biased in a number of ways.

This comes as no shock: aren't "Google" and "evil" synonyms?

I did a Google shopping search which turned up many guns. Not sure what the issue is.

“They trust you.

That seems correct. :)

“Were they real or plastic”.

I only Google the real ones. ;)

I think in many cases people are fooled because searches show up extremely accurate replica and police/military simulation firearms.

In some cases they are essentially identical to a real firearm in nearly every aspect ...... but they cannot fire a live round. One may need to read some way into a listing to discover they are not a weapon that can fire a bullet.

Well Google owns Youtube and we all know what Youtube is doing to gun channels -- not a big surprise.

Yeah, Google is evil.

I wonder if you can own a gun and work for Google. Or do you have to be all "in the closet" about it?

“Try
this.“

Yup, that didn’t work. But a search on Yahoo Shopping revealed many parts for sale.

I guess it’s the same old story, a business can choose to do what they want, and you can choose not to patronize said business.

A pal of mine works for Google and he’s a firearms enthusiast. He does keep it hush-hush though.

Google does espouse a decidedly anti-heterosexual-male policy in its employee programs. It is pathetic, and will be its undoing.

I know quite a few people that refuse to use Google and Youtube because of it.

"I guess it’s the same old story, a business can choose to do what they want"

Well no -- a business can only do what they want to those of us who are not anointed a privileged "protected class".

What do you suppose would happen if you owned a bakery and refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding ...
