So I heard back from Emerald in Ireland this morning - my guitar didn't ship out on Friday because the owner was sick, and I guess he signs off on all guitars before they go out the door... good to know, I guess.

It shipped, and they gave me a tracking number - doesn't do anything yet, but they said it usually takes 5-7 business days from Ireland, depending on how long US Customs holds things up. Hopefully if it's listed as not having any wood in it, it should breeze right through!

Keep you posted (those that are drooling vicariously with me!).

Well, it's moving - still in Ireland, but moving. I suspect tomorrow it will leave the country, headed across "the pond."

At least now I know the tracking number is working.

Okay, back to work you slackers!

The tracking now says "Guitar received in United States"!

Now I'm supposed to get a new tracking number for here - except it arrived today around 1:40 pm, it's Friday, and it's coming the rest of the way by USPS - which isn't real hot on tracking numbers!

Just hoping it gets through customs quickly, so I can have it by the end of next week!

Guess what showed up today - I was shocked! Got here from the East Coast literally over the weekend - via USPS!

I'll give a full review later - first impression is WOW and two thumbs up! This guitar has a very warm sound, and nice bass! The soundport right by your head adds to that, but I must say I was very pleased to hear the tones coming from this thing!

I've added a few more pics in my profile - sorry they're not better, but the stock ones show how awesome these things look. My added pics do reflect the color of the instrument - to me it's more copper than amber - and that's a good thing!

I can see that being an advantage. A guitarist rarely gets to really hear his own guitar.

Is this going to be your primary worship instrument?

I usually play electric in worship (we have another person who plays acoustic), but I will find an excuse to use it for that occasionally. I may have to plan some songs for this weekend that require two acoustics!

I'll be on a men's weekend spiritual retreat in April and I'll take it with me there - perfect instrument to carry around and use in all kinds of situations.

Mike, how are you liking the guitar after spending some time with it?
