I noticed they are usually 20 cents cheaper on gas, figured the membership fee would cover the gas, plus some.

Welp, I bought some prime strip steaks, and wow, I now know why all you costco members rave about their meat.

10 dollars less per pound than my usual meat market, and I think better quality. The soft serve Ice cream is damn good as well.

I rarely buy gas anywhere else and have all the Costco stations located along my normal routes of travel.

My favorite wheat bread is there. And of course toilet paper, paper towels, chicken, grass-fed beef, fruit, eyeglasses, our TV, digital camera etc..

You’re quite right, it’s worth buying meat there based solely on the quality. Around here, it is miles better than the meat in the local supermarket.

But then it’s also cheaper, which makes it amazing.

Haven’t had the ice cream but the $1.50 dog/soda combo was the food of my youth, my parents didn’t have a membership but our neighbor did, and we’d all go every 3 months or so. The kids would run around eating samples or buying the $1.50 special, and if so had saved my money appropriately, I’d buy a full box of packs of baseball or hockey cards for what a couple packs would have cost in the store.

Nowadays, I have a membership card from my ofgice’s Business account (so it’s free for me!), and we go weekly for the fresh fruit. The quality is excellent but the price is why we go. The double pack of raspberries costs the same as the single pack in the supermarket, same for strawberries. My daughter loves berries and eats some daily, so the larger quantity of the Costco pack is no issue, nothing spoils before it’s eaten.

In any event, my storytelling aside, I’ve yet to meet anyone who regretted a Costco membership so you made the right move.

I went with my mother and Grandaughter, she wanted a hot dog, after we ate that,(grandaughter) she wanted some ice cream, it is super rich but, yum! try it. She wanted the straight vanilla, haven't tried anything else yet.

Cooked the steaks Pittsburgh style and rare, on the weber gas grill, even my daughter in law ate all of it. Something I've never seen her do. No they wern't small steaks, over a pound each.

Beats the hell out of Sams

I have 2 Sam's Clubs within a 20 minute drive and the nearest Costco is an hour and a half away. I miss Costco.

Does your new Costco offer something besides those Sherman Tank sized shopping carts?

I often jet into the place to get just a couple of things and wind up hemmed in between uber wide shopping carts and even bigger rear ends.

I was given a Food Saver machine by my GF for Christmas so we could further enjoy the Costco steaks. The strips, rib eye and filet is wonderful.
