Eric was kind enough to send me some leftover parts from his stash including a neck. So, I'm planning on a Tele project and I've been combing the internet. To my surprise, the cheapest option I've found is several Standard Tele bodies on eBay for $180. I was hoping to stay below 100 clams.

If anyone spots a good deal, please keep me posted. I'm hoping for ash or alder. Painted or unpainted will suffice. I can work with either.

Keep an eye on this page (linked below).

Bodies pop up there from time to time.

Sometimes they blow out entire guitars for less than $100.

I've liked the Tele-style guitars from Rondo more than the Strat-o-copies.

LRO, I've heard the Paulownia woods are VERY soft and one can dent them with a thumbnail.

Eric, I have Rondo bookmarked and check it often.

Tex, that's the best price I've seen so far.

Hey Rocky,

Are you going to move on that body Richard linked above? If not I might snag it. It would be a good candidate for paint - which I've not done before.

Sorry, Eric. I just saw your post. I just spent some duckies on my pedalboard so it'll be a awhile for the body. Have at it.

Thanks!

I'm still hanging on to the idea. And I see the body is still there.
