I bought one those CME Gibson ES-339’s. It’s lovely and I think I’m good for a while this year. It was too cheap not to get.

I'm pretty much set with 59 electric guitars, acoustics, and basses.

I'm also pretty well cover with tube amps, as I've got.......

6 Fender amps.
4 Mesa Boogie amps
1 Vox
1 Brown Note Head

Even at that, I've had my eye on an '08 Gibson LP Standard Plus that a pawnshop has been holding on for about 8 months. They started the pricing at $1600, and the lowest they'd go was $1000 out the door about 3 weeks ago.

The manager told me to wait about 2 more weeks, and if it's still there, I should be able to pick it up for $800.

I'm patient enough to hold out, and it it's not there, then it wasn't meant to be.

Here's some pics of said guitar.

I've been on an acoustic binge lately, so the next one will probably be another acoustic.

I need it like a hole in the head, though, because I'm waiting for delivery on a carbon fiber Emerald X-20 Artisan (in the next 7-10 days I hope) and a Custom Shop Martin that will likely arrive in May/June.

But I'm still gassin' for a good all hog guitar - probably a Martin 000-15SM, even though I'd love to splurge on the new Martin 00-17 1931 Authentic.

I'm also gassing for another acoustic. I'm really interested in the Taylor GS Mini Koa based on a past experience with the Mini GS. But then the demons at Sweetwater sent their catalog and the new Martin 00L-17 caught my eye. That would require some form of liquidation to subsidize the meager mad money I have.

I say an amp build is probably next, but Warmoth has a Strat neck in stock that is calling my name. It’s their boatneck profile, big headstock, flame maple with a rosewood fretboard. I want to re-neck the MIM double fat Strat I cobbled together a few years ago. I don’t like the weenie stock neck.

I'd like a princeton, but I don't really play anymore. If I do it is acoustic guitar on the back porch type of thing.

I played a Guild M120e at a store the other day and keep thinking about it. Concert sized, wide nut, generous neck profile -- kind of perfect and not particularly pricey. Must cogitate further...

archiestone,

How did the Guild sound? Was it the mahogany top version or the spruce top?

reverend - All hog, Made in China, did not sound like most parlors I've played at all but much warmer than avg. Best was the neck which had just the right amount of fullness.

I may pass on the Santa Cruz as it's not something I'd gig with and it has so much bling, yikes! It's a lot of money for a sit and play in a chair at home guitar.

I have fallen in lust with another used Taylor however, an 812ce Fall LTD slot head that is attractively priced.

One of my friends Has a Santa Cruz, he use to play out with it until a guy at an open mic opened up the case and helped himself to it while my friend was outside having a smoke. The Wanker used a credit card for a pick and scratched it up pretty good. He didn't realize what had happened until the next day. He was sick about it.

RDR, I saw this and that is a sweet deal. I have so many raw frame speakers boxed up I'm running out of room for amps! Thanks!

I thought about it too. But I don't "need" any more gear.

Whatever that means.

I'd like to get another bass and a 2X10 ext. cab but don't really need and can't afford either right now.

I do actually need a pedal board power supply, which is easily within reach financially, so that will be next.

I have to say that I'm very happy with the basses I have now, so am not suffering from any desperate gear lust.

I just bought a Vox AC15C1 (a month old) and he also gave me two basically new speakers. One is free as noted above; the other a Celestion Greenback I am putting in the classifieds.

My bud took out the Greenback and installed a new Blue.
