He graduated.

I admire the way he lived his faith. No scandal. Just faith.

Whether you share his beliefs or not, he did seem like the real deal. None of the Bakker, Swaggart, Tilton sleaze factor or A.A. Allen's binge drinking.

On the basis of being true to his convictions alone, I'll give him a thumbs up and an RIP.

Sail on, Rev!

He was the real deal, unlike the other televangelists. He had real piety and he lived his life accordingly. About 10 years ago or so, my younger brother was very weakened because of the chemo sessions he was undertaking while fighting lymph node cancer. Billy Graham happened to be in San Diego during that time and, apparently, my brother's church informed him of this. So Billy Graham called him. My brother was unable to take the call because of his condition so BG left him an inspirational phone message. That's what kind of person he was. My brother, Tim, really hated that he missed the call.

RIP, Mr. Graham

My dad met him once, said he was a very nice man. He gave my dad an autographed copy of his book, "Peace With God," which now resides on my book shelf.

RIP.
