Well, this is taking longer than expected, but it finally arrived in the US today... now it has to get through customs (once they figure out it's not made of wood - hah!), and travel halfway across the country... I'm hoping for next Friday, but not holding my breath.

It's here - arrived on Monday! I should have posted here, but I'd posted in the Lefty Forum and "left it" at that...
...but the guitar is great. I'm impressed by everything about it - the build, materials and sound are all above what I expected (and I expected a lot from the videos I've seen/heard!).
So far I've just tweaked the truss rod a little. I'll probably lower the strings at the nut just a tad, but they're not as bad as most guitars right off the shelf. I'll eventually try some different strings, too, as it came with EXP 80/20 bronze which aren't my favorites. But I hate to waste a brand new set of coated strings!
More later, and there are pics in my profile - as you can see from my pics compared to the stock photos - it looks a bit darker/more copper colored - and to my eyes, that's a good thing.
Love it - still getting to know it! More to come.

It sure is a thing of beauty. I can't wait to hear how it works out with other acoustics or in a band situation.
I've read some reviews that claim composite guitars work best as solo instruments. None of those where about the Emerald.

What that heck? They forgot the sound hole on that guitar.
Kidding aside, that's a nice looking CF guitar. I hope it sounds just as nice.

Sorry - been busy and wanted to be able to give an honest review after some extended playing time.
So I've had a chance to play it at home, try several sets of strings on it, and used it in worship plugged in today.
Overall build quality is excellent; this is much more impressive than the other CF guitars I've seen (RainSong, CA). It's drop dead gorgeous and I love the design - modern but totally well thought out. Construction inside is super clean as well.
Picky points:
1. I need to lower the nut slots just a little - plays fine now, but it can be better. This is typical of most guitars, so not a problem.
2. The neck is pretty hefty, which kind of surprised me. On the first few frets it's not bad (1 3/4" nut), but as you go up the neck, it's a handful. Not something that can't be overcome, but I'm just noting it FYI; I was surprised at this on a guitar that is otherwise ergonomically perfect.
The sound is very good - it's warmer than you'd expect from CA; it's certainly not a J-45 or D-18, but it has body and clarity that sounds pleasing. It has the bottom end of a dreadnought - maybe that's the soundhole being right there by your face - but it sounds BIG.
I'm still experimenting with strings. It came with EXP 80/20's on it. I've also tried two sets of D'Addario Nickel Bronze - 13-56 first, and then because of the big neck, dropped down to 12-53...this makes it easier to handle the neck, and actually tames some of the low end boom (most noticeable on the low E string G note at the 3rd fret). Again, need to lower the nut slots a little - I did also tweak the truss rod (yes it has one!) just a little.
Sounds incredible with a capo all over the neck. This is just a fun guitar to play! It doesn't ever make me think - oh, I wish I were playing a WOOD guitar instead. The sound is unique, but not harsh or strident or sterile. Pretty amazing, really!
Finally, it sounds even better plugged in. I upgraded to the LR Baggs Anthem. Volume on it is quiet compared to other pickups in my other acoustics - not sure why. But the sound is very balanced and warm - 3-D like an acoustic should be.
Overall, I'm very happy with the guitar; I think it's worth the price of admission. I still love my wood guitars, but this has it's place, too - especially in the heat/humidity and cold/dryness of Minnesota climate... and for playing in places where you don't want to take a delicate, valuable wood guitar.
Mic is open for questions!
