Based on what I have, Fulltone, but looks like Wampler has everything, and the Wampler Pinnacle V2 looks really appealing. Also Jason Isbell is a big fan of Wampler.

...as is Brad Paisley. I have two Wampler pedals on my board and they're topnotch.

Boss has the product depth, doesn't it? But based on what I actually use, I'd go with Keeley.

Boss. Maybe not boutique, but they make just about everything you could need.

About 10 years ago I would have said Visual Sound. I don’t know if they’re still around.

I have a question about Strymon. With their good reputation (and high price tag), why are there so many of them constantly for sale?

Maybe I just answered my own question.

Leftee, they are still making pedals but under the the name Truetone.

There was a legal kerfuffle a few years ago over the Visual Sound name.

Over the years, I have used more Boss pedals than any other brand. Having said that, I just realized I have none on my board now, but I do use a Boss looper.

The Keeley BD-2 has been on my board for well over a decade. That said, it wouldn't be there if not for Keeley.

I really enjoy my Boss Blues Driver 2 and was wondering what the Keeley mod is and how it changed the way it performs?
I have had it on my effects board for probably 3 years and like the way it performs but have always thought and wanted some sort of low frequency adjustment, plus maybe adding a little more control over the distortion/overdrive feel. Does this mod address these thoughts?
Instead of sending mine in for the mods, because I like the pedal the way it is, is it worth the money to buy his pedal and keep mine stock?
Thanks for any info that might help with all the pro's and possibly any other feelings about what I might be not worth the venture.

The Keeley mod adds asymmetric clipping to the gain stage so it's a more natural breakup (ie, not as harsh). The mod also makes the tone range more useful. The Phat switch adds a subtle but distinct mid-bass boost. Generally, I leave it off for buckers and turn in on for S/C's.

That's what I had read but have never asked anyone whom hasaactually owned one and was wondering if was worth the money to buy one already modded versus sending mine in. It sounds like a good purchase and leave my other one stock.
Thanks for the description, it was what I had read and sounds like it would be a good choice to buy one.

Mine was a good purchase 15 years ago and I'd do it again today. :o)
