Then (if you haven't already heard it elsewhere) you should listen to this. I found the second half to be especially interesting, but then, I'm a huge Jack Casady fan, so I liked it all. Also deals with the evolution of pups, amps, speaker enclosures and live sound reinforcement, Alembic, etc..

(If this has already been posted here, I apologize for having missed it).

A very interesting discussion! Thanks for linking.

I did find myself thinking a skilled editor could get this down to a 30-45 concise summary of how "high fidelity" basses and bass amps evolved.

Nevertheless, a very cool slice of history!
