Nest? Lyric? Ecobee?

Any users here?

*Attention keyboard warriors.

Before that one guy who was an HVAC installer for a hunnerd years and thinks that "learning thermostats" are complete and utter garbage gets here, let's be quick about this.

Thanks.

Lol. I have a Nest, but I haven’t been using the learning feature - I wanted it for remote settings and automatic heat/cool switchovers.

We love learning thermostats in the HVAC industry. I'd recommend the Nest, easy to set-up, it quickly builds its data base and they have a great support network. I've got 5 of them in my house. We call that a redundant safety system in the trades.

Check your local utilities - my Next was half the normal street price through them.

Another vote for Nest. A cool feature is seeing your home temp while you're away and warm it up or cool it down before you arrive.

Okay. The Nest E is new to me, at a much lower price point, and compatible with my antiquated 2-wire heat only system.

Plus a $25 rebate from my electric company, which strikes me as odd because I heat with Natural Gas.

Dang, Mr. Sparky needs to go back to school. LMAO!
Gas Company is just kicked back letting Sparky do all the work :)

I ended up with the traditional Nest, but I saw the E - it looks good.

Number of Nest E Thermostats shown in inventory at Home Depot.com - 3

Number of Nest E Thermostats in actual inventory at Home Depot - 0

Watching three Home Depot employees tear the place apart looking for them - Priceless.
