Another voice we grew up with.

He replaced David Ruffin as lead singer , and led the group during their transition toa grittier sound.

The first hit he sang on was “Cloud Nine,” followed by “I Can’t Get Next To You,” “Psychedelic Shack,” “Ball Of Confusion” and “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone.”
