If so, any recommendations on a charger/brand combo that can recharge a minimum of 3 batteries?

I have a small flashlight that I use nightly to walk the pooch, really nice with fresh batteries but the trio of triple a's wear down quickly.

I’ve taken to using the 18650 Lithium Ion powered flashlights. It’s an impressive battery, Holds a charge really well and charges up fairly quickly. You can easily replace the 18650 battery like a AA, just swap it out if it’s an inconvieniant time to charge it up. Not much more that the price of the battery.

Iâve been using this one for months now, impressive flashlight

Yup, Eneloop and chargers from Costco when on sale. They work great in my clocks, remotes, radio, etc.

Yep. Get the Eneloop kit with four batteries plus the charger. Go to the Amazon link above and order 'em. Seems expensive for what you're getting, but they are much cheaper than replacing alkalines over time.

I have eight Eneloop AAs that have hundreds of charges and still going strong.

I bought a pair of additional Eneloops chargers off eBay - my cameras take 8 batteries, and it’s nice to be able to charge them all at one time.

Peege, while I love Amazon for how it helps us, Costco has much better deals on Eneloop systems, especially when on sale. They even have a new one where you can put a AA battery inside a provided C or D battery case.

Unfortunately Costco is the better part of a 200 mile round trip for me, and no membership. The Eneloop option looks good, but Hushnel's link might be the better option for nightly usage.

Yeah, I understand, but Amazon is everywhere.

The Eneloop AA charger also accepts AAA cells.

Skip the flashlight and see if poochy has guide-dog talent.

New thread fodder.

You're welcome. :-)

I never understood why they make flashlights black. I want to find it when it's dark. and I need it.

I use Energizer and Duracell NiMH (2500 mAH) in both AA and AAA sizes for various devices. The charger is Energizer and it can charge either 2 or 4 AA or AAA batteries with blinking lights to indicate the charge status.

I don't notice 2 cents worth of difference between either brand. They both work just fine.

I think I got them at Lowes or Home Dumpo.
