Here is a listing for a master built offset tele with stealth pups. I am wondering how they do this and can only conclude that the magnets are super strong, they mention specially wound but it confuses me.

I am starting an offset build and naturally I would like "super cool" . How do you think this is achieved ? I understand the builder John Cruz does the neck shaping himself but other than that it is pretty much average stuff (except for those stealth pickups).

My best guess is that the PUs are highly over wound and much hotter than a standard Strat PU. This way the gain you loose puts you right back to normal with distance from strings to PUs.

Just you average $7K Tele!

Here is a pic of it. I stared at this thing for several minutes before I saw the pups, i think its dementia starting...

I like the idea and I ordered one of these bodies from MJT a couple days ago with the nashville route so I am gonna have a go at it.
