I thought it was well done. If CG-laced, video-game-paced action flicks are your thing, this might be too slow for you in spots. Acting was very good, gunfight scenes brutal and realistic. Dialog is sparse, but appropriate to the story.

There's a "message" of sorts, but it is pretty much a generalized one about human nature and isn't presented in an overly-"preachy" way.

I'll give it a thumbs up.

Will be interested to here reactions from you other fans of the genre.

Thanks for the review, Taildragger. I thought the ads looked interesting. The first review I read indicated that it is pretty violent, which means my wife probably won't like it, and the way that review addressed the message you mentioned made me wonder how preachy it might be.

"...made me wonder how preachy it might be."

I was afraid that is might over-romanticize the "noble Native American", but all the characters, regardless of race, were pretty much portrayed as human beings: some good if flawed, some not so good.

It's largely about how people respond to being exposed to brutal, traumatic experiences and circumstances and how some can find redemption thereafter and others not.

At least, that's what I took from it.
