Well it did actually arrive but there was nothing on it for me!

My Taylor 810ce was supposed to be delivered to my office today after service at Taylor. It made it to the local hub at 4:17 am and never moved again. Sad service.

Our regular delivery came and went and our afternoon pickup driver sometime has additional parcels...nada.

I am not buying guitars lately, but at one time they were
coming into our mailroom routinely.

Good news is when it's delivered you don't have any waiting time for it to warm up to room temp. I will not report SoCal temps this week....is it summer already?

This might explain the great deal I was offered today, a Taylor 810ce for $350! Didn't have the cash on me or I would've jumped on it.

Hammond, that sucks - hate it when that happens!

Will they discount some of the shipping cost because they screwed up (yeah, right...)?

Brown Truck Blues for sure.

Discount on shipping? I could probably get something back but ground service is rarely guaranteed. I'd hate to put Taylor through the trouble for $10-20.

Jack, you are correct. It's summertime here, no waiting!

It looks like they found it last night. Now showing out for delivery, I can only hope. Fingers crossed that it didn't get damaged.

Ok, disaster avoided. UPS found the lost parcel & the brown truck came a few minutes ago and all is again well. Now it's get it home tonight and test the ES1 repairs that Taylor made.

Taylor's set up is pretty close, maybe just a 64th high from what I would have done also with just a bit more relief that I like personally. Just a little tweak of the truss rod and it should be perfect.

an acquired taste some may never acquire

I swear: we're like a bunch of impatient kids on Christmas Eve with this stuff, aren't we?

But then, the real problem isn't so much that we haven't the capacity to calmly wait for Christmas to arrive: the REAL problem is that "they" keep moving Christmas from the 25th...to the 26th...to the 27th...to "presents?...WHAT presents?".

Sadists...

I'm worrying that that 1/64" might have been caused by the delivery delay... I'm now worried that my last set up might be off as well...jusssss kidding brother.

Well gents, I'm a jack ass and Taylor really knows what they are doing. I adjusted the relief in the 810ce to my liking and went out to sit in with a friend last night......I need to put the relief back in and that extra 1/64 is there for a reason! This guitar does not act at all like my 814ce. That is not a bad thing just, it's just different.
