Anyone have any idea what type of pickups are in this American made guitar?

If you're referring to the American Vintage '52 Telecaster (Fender part no. 0110202850), the genuine Fender pickups are sold as a set on the aftermarket as Original Vintage Telecaster pickups.

They are the ones...but do these have a different sound then say a Nocaster bridge P/U from 51?

All pickups have subtly different sounds from 1951 and the vintage days. The magnets and wire are just not made the same way anymore. They can serve the same purpose, though.

I assume you're asking about the '51 Nocaster Reissue pickups and not actual 1951 pickups.

The reissue OVTs and Nocasters are a little different, the Nocasters are slightly hotter, especially the neck pickup (7.1 Kohms vs. 6.6).

Would the staggered poles be more of a vintage sound vs non staggered poles on a bridge pickup?

I do believe the earliest Teles had flat-poles on the bridge pickup.

No, I think it was the opposite.

Well...for reference sake, some of the "vintage" Tele pups made for earliest Teles and still sold today...

...look like this

Also...when they marketed a Broadcaster pickup (bridge), I recall those pole pieces were also flush across the poles.
