I say that because I have seriously been considering a Musiclander body for my next project.

But no that particular pickup config.

Can't help but think that they should have just looked at Warmoth's customer builds pages to see what people actually like.

The thinline tele with a couple of TV Jones Classics could be a fairly popular option though. At least in my rockabilly fantasy mind.

I just did my own Strato Tele (Hybrid) just 2 weeks ago. That'll do me.

Actually there's not much there that hasn't been done by creative BIY'ers.

And that Meteora is a real dog's breakfast...

and fugly.

Mick, you went beyond parallel universe guitars with that Epi project. You downright crossed the streams.

Well, I like the Jazz Tele. This is sort of the same thing as the Pawn Shop series was a few years ago. I did buy and still own a Pawn Shop Offset Special. I'll be gigging with it tonight.

It's interesting to read the comments both here and below that article ... lots of noise that don't amount to nothin'!

"It don't matter what you say;
only matters if you pay and play!"

The only one that's a stretch to me is the Meteora, which was already officially announced. Not sure why that ugly body shape with the *exact* Tele pup configuration will be a hit? (Now I'm doing the same thing...)

Like several peeps mentioned under the article; NONE of these will be made for lefties (thanks a lot, Fender!), so I won't ever have to have GAS for them.

Where Fender's lost me isn't just design, it's vision.

I can get a mid-priced Gibson new for the price of a MIA Jaguar with proper, traditional circuitry.

There's something profoundly off with that.

I like them, especially the Strat body with Tele pickups. I've had GAS for a Tele for a long time, but prefer the Strat body's ergonomics, so I'd be interested in one of these -- but probably not at the price they'll charge.

I like them as well. Fender is in a weird spot. With so many iconic models that really need no improvement, when they go out on a limb, it's refreshing. People complain they don't do anything new. Then they do something new and...uh..much backlash...lol. The Jaguar didn't catch on until much later..wait :)

Fun but confusing, these hybrids and baroque combos will ultimately make Fenders classic forms cooler.
