I gotta go with Larkin Poe. Two sisters who do rock and blues right. One plays lap steel. They both have great voices. Don't know where their career heads but check them out while you can. Any "discoveries" for you.

Huge discovery for me was Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives. they came out with a new cd last spring (Way Out West), which got me deep into their stuff, and a groupie ever since.

I found a live 1973 rendition of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells from BBC TV on youtube this year that I've probably watched 30 times now.
It's fascinating.

I was turned on to Manchester Orchestra a few weeks ago by my sailing buddy. Great late night headphone music that grows on you.

The Pink Tiles do a nice line in upbeat guitar pop

It was a happy surprise to hear when they opened the bill at a show I went to.

I'm not sure how I missed these guys, but, wow! (This is the kind of band I'd like to play in -- at least for a couple of days.)
