... and find an in-stock neck you ReeEEaaallY liked and bought it not knowing exactly what you're going to do with it just yet?

I have made that mistake before. Several hundred dollars later I have a guitar that I didn't need.

I had decided to try a Gibson conversion neck on a thinline build. I wasn't thinking unconventional but found one in stock that had the Warmoth headstock (PRSish), a bound Ziricote board with trap inlays, etc. All for about half of the custom build price.

I had to pull the trigger.

Yes.

This one. I purchased the body the same way.

I wanted to build a *Warmoth* Tele.

The chambered body was on the "Screamin' Deals".

I'm don't recall now if the neck was also, or not. Both were in stock specific-use minded purchases.

This one. I ended up getting a strat/tele hybrid body but I have never put it together. Probably never will. Thinking about using this on my tele parts caster that currently has a solid rosewood neck. Just can't decide.

Yeah, I bought a 25" scale neck with tilt-back paddle-head headstock and rosewood compound radius fingerboard a while back on spec. I figured it would come in handy eventually and save me the waiting time on a new order. It's sitting in a closet "maturing."

I might have an immediate use for this neck. I'll see when it gets here.

I haven't bought any Warmoth stuff without a specific project in mind, but I've bought other parts and hardware "just to have".

Most recent example is a set of Tonerider strat pickups that were on sale for a great price.

If int'l shipping and the exchange rate weren't so exy, I'm sure I'd be way more tempted to buy Warmoth stuff for "stock".
