Just noticed that starting in 2019 California drivers can identify as "non-binary" on their licenses.

".... a gender-neutral option on state documents for those who are transgender, intersex and others who do not identify as male or female."

Can't wait for the first test case:

Highway Patrolman faulted for not summoning a non-binary officer to conduct a search of an individual too drunk to identify as male or female.

"I dunno, said Officer Johnson, "it ... was wearing Levis under a wedding dress, had painted toenails, five o'clock shadow, pink lipstick, and told me it was carrying its balls in a bowling bag in the back seat."

Johnson said he hadn't been this gender disoriented since his 4 year old pointed out that the Santa at the mall she had given her gift list to, was wearing a bra.

I'm pretty sure in the near future people will be allowed to "identify" as their favorite animal. California, of course, will lead the charge.

The complication is not that new. Remember "Pat" from SNL?

I honestly don’t think this is anywhere near as big a problem as the media portrays it to be.

I do think this new gender thing compromises the whole "Mr., Mrs, Ms, sir, ma'am" formality. I say we just go with "comrade".

"Sir" + "madame"...just call everybody "Sadaam"?

They're now talking about letting trans-gendered males compete against female athletes in the Olympics under certain conditions. This after all the hooplah about performance enhancing drugs giving certain athletes an unfair advantage.

The world sometimes seems to be becoming more nonsensical by the day.

The media has taken the concept of the carnival sideshow freak and refined it into a science.

And they exploit the hell out of it because there's gold in it.

Remember last year when the talk was all about men walking into the women's bathroom?

It's always something.
