Not mine......but my GF from college days.

Here father was in NYC for a convention and went to The Peppermint Lounge....happened to be the night the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan.
Got a Paul autograph on a Peppermint Lounge napkin. By the 70's when I met her, it was a curiosity, but not that big a deal to us.

I'm not an autograph seeker. Last one I sought was from a hockey player back in 1995.

I have a number of autographed items from different New Jersey Devils players, all of which were brought in to the store I worked in while in law school, located in a mall near where many of the players lived.

I would strike up conversations, things would end pleasantly, and the next time they came in, boom, signed stuff. I kept it all and have a small display in my office.

I only have a few. Probably only cool to me.

Joe Bonamassa -- on one of his DVDs
Jon Butcher, Charlie Farren, Duke Robillard, and Karla Bonoff, who signed record albums for me that I bought back when they were released.

Guitar picks signed by Johnny Lang and Coco Montoya.

Cookbooks signed by Julia Child and Jacques Pepin.

I met Albert Collins, and got his autograph on an op sheet from work. A girl there was over the moon on Collins, I gave it to her. He had GREAT penmanship.

Just won at auction Brad Delp's musician union card from 1977 with his signature. Also have several autographs from Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, Carl Palmer and Ray Benson, as well as autographs from Sugar Ray Leonard (with whom I was on a flight), Monte Montgomery, Eamon de Valera (the first and long-time president of Ireland), and the entire 1961 White Sox team, including Nellie Fox and Don Larson (my uncle in Chicago personally obtained all signatures)

I had Mike Ditka's at one point, after he had spoken to us all at a PTA meeting at my elementary school in Richardson, TX (suburb of Dallas). I was in 2ndor 3rd grade, and asked him if he had known Brian Piccolo (the movie "Brian's Song" had just recently aired on TV). He got all teary-eyed talking about it. I cannot believe I lost that one.

The only true autograph hounding I did, Roger Staubach's, was goaded on by a friend....we walked right up to his front door (he was in our neighborhood) and asked. He was cool about it.

Don Meredith's was a gift from my Dad, who had dinner with Dandy Don once.

Alex Lifeson's was a gift from Alex himself, after he caught an e-mail I sent to someone describing taking my son to his first big-time concert, and praising specific moments in Alex's guitar playing. He sent me a signed DVD!

Sonny Landreth was from him signing a CD I bought this past summer....oh, and I also have a signed CD from Gurf Morlix.

I sat on a stool next to Davey Jones (Monkees) in an airport coffee shop. What a kind personality he had. He went on like we were old friends. Tiny man - Big heart. He signed my business card.

Never was an autograph seeker, but when my mom lived in England and worked at Harrod's she got her two fave actor's pics autographed. She was such an Olivier fan she named me after him (Laurence with a "u").

That was before she knew he wasn't such a nice guy.

B B King.

I spent the better part of an hour with him at the Las Vegas airport. His flight was cancelled so we sat together and BS'd about music and guitars and that's where I got his autograph.

Les Paul signed an vinyl LP jacket for me years ago.

I think that's the only one I have. I've had the pleasure of meeting some famous people, but I never ask for an autograph.

Oh...I did ask Unknown Hinson to sign my left teat, which he did. I have a picture of that somewhere.
