Dad's strokes were too severe for him to over come. He passed very early Monday morning. He passed peacefully with his family nearby.

He was the best Father anyone could have asked for. He is now at peace and the physical pain he has suffered for the last 25 years is over.

I miss you dad.......

Sorry for your loss.

Its part of our normal lives on earth,
but always a bittersweet set of emotions.

RIP and condolences.

Lost my dad in 1992 after a series of strokes, heart attacks etc.. I suffered pangs of guilt about feeling relief among the mix of strong emotions precipitated by his death, but later realized that if he was beyond the help of medical professionals, there's nothing more that I could have done to change his decline. I think he basically decided that his quality of life was no longer sufficient to merit continuing on and willed himself to pass.

When we care so deeply about a person, it can be hard to accept that we are helpless to alter their fate. It can be difficult to think rationally when such powerful relationships are involved.

Peace and all the best to you and your family during this time of loss, friend.

Very sorry to hear this.

My Dad had a stroke in 1961 when I was 10 but hung on another 8 years. I don't have a lot of memories of him as a healthy person.

Sincere condolences to you and your family.
