FDP Forum / Fender Guitars: Stratocasters / 1980's AVRI vintage 57 and 62 strats info

hi, I collect 50's and 60's strats and teles and recently got into collecting 82 to 89 vintage reissues, has anyone got any info on these guitars like who were the builders? did the same builders do the 82 to 84 fullertons and 86 to 89 coronas? how many were built daily in each plant ? I am looking for any info I can find on these 80's vintage reissues, there is plenty of info on the pre cbs era but nothing much on these guitars, thanks

yes good site but still lots of things not mentioned, I never see anything mentioned for example the 82 issues I see have plastic covered wires but 83 onwards is cloth as expected, and the 3 way its not the usual style it has that big round brass looking plate on one side, not like the usual 3 way switch, lots of things to learn about these.... www.vintageguitarsaustralia.com

Looks like you collect them to sell them.

nope been collecting guitars for 40 years, only did the website to hopefully meet people and find guitars, I have 10 avri strats now 84 to 87, none are for sale, I pictured the blue one on my site just for interest, as u see its not for sale, none of my guitars are for sale, the guitars on my site that are for sale are not mine, I have lots of 50's and 60's strats and teles and 50's les pauls, all stored none are pictured on my site as I don't want to sell, the only time I ever sold a guitar was to trade up I am a collector a very serious one, I love guitars its my hobby, so to answer your thoughts , no I don't buy them to sell them

I tried to go to your site but got a 404 error, I would like to see anything you would like to show. I still have an itch for strats and still have 2 of them tucked away, I am really into tele's right now and I also collect anything I can get my hands on.
