Yes. I almost traded the Elitist (with some cash, of course) for a new Les Paul Traditional about 3 years ago. Had the LP "on layaway."

But after playing them back to back and being as objective as I could, it was no contest (for ME); the Elitist played better and sounded better. So it came back home.

(And the store REALLY wanted to sell me that LP, because they had accidentally ordered it as a lefty! Of course, they sold it eventually.)

Sheesh! I did it again. Bought a guitar yesterday that I've been eyeing on Reverb for months.

It was a custom order Larrivee that I ordered, but they got one of the main specs wrong (I've told this story before); they made it with a spruce top instead of a hog top.

Well, I still liked all the other specs on the guitar (I designed it, right?), so yesterday I bought it for about $8-900 less than the original price when I ordered it (less than what's listed on Reverb).

I'll post more about it after it arrives...

...Merry Christmas / Happy Birthday to me!

Ok. I think my electrics have been breeding while I’m gone. My thread opening post was 13. But there are 14 electrics hanging on the wall.

Hmmmmmm...

Maybe you should use elixir strings for protection.

Long time member here been AWOL for years. This list will seem crazy.

38 electrics (lefthand unless noted)
1 - Fender Strat 83' 2 knob no football jack RH
1 - Ovation ultra GL RH
1 - Yamaha Pacifica 112L
1 - Ibanez 470S
1 - Ibanez JEM 555
2 - Raven RP350 (PRS copies)
2 - Agile LP2500 (old horn and headstock)
1 - Agile AS820 (335 copy)
1 - Agile Tele
1 - Agile 7 string
11 - SX SST 57's and 62's (old headstock)
1 - Warmoth Strat w/ kahler trem
2 - DBZ Barchetta's
2 - Dean Zelinsky private label Strettavitas
1 - Dean Zelinsky Tagliere
2 - Chinese Yngwie copies scalloped neck
2 - DEAN Z explorers
3 - SX Furrians tele copy
1- Chiquita travel guitar (Back to the Future)RH
1 - Hondo LP double cut RH

4 Acoustics

Fender 6 string
Blueridge 6 string
Hadean 12 string
Rogue 6 string A/E

I know that is a ridiculous number but it is what it is. I went 20 some odd years with 2 guitars. Those were righty strung lefty. Between the internet and the availability of inexpensive lefthanded instruments GAS has become a beast.

I added another "little" guitar after Christmas, just didn't get around to listing it because I was focused on my new Larrivee L-05 Custom.

I picked up a Cordoba Mini R after Christmas - I found one that sounded very good for such a small body (pleasantly surprised!), and while I was playing with it I noticed a crack below the fingerboard to the sound hole - about a 1" crack.

That caused me to look it over more closely, which was when I noticed the large crack in the lower bout below the bridge almost all the way to the edge - it's even noticeable in the pic below of the full front.

So I showed this to the store's sales staff (a guitar shop in Omaha I seldom go in). She took it and showed it to their tech. Said they could fix it for around $75 and have full warranty. I asked if they could sell it to me with the crack and I'd take care of it later.

She thought about it and offered it to me for $100 off - down from $250 to $150. I asked her if she could include the tax for $150 (around $10) and without really hesitating she said yes.

It plays easy and actually does sound pretty decent for such a little thing. It's tuned up a 5th (so the low and high strings are both A's rather than E's). I flipped the strings on it after I got it home - works perfect as a lefty.

Leftee,

Figured you were just still here. Yours is a familiar name though.

Quick question. I just donated to become a contributing member how long until my status changes and I can post everywhere?

If you post again it/they will show up. They don’t show up
in older posts. It’s a static Db.

Although I gave up trying to play lefty (it seems that musical aptitude is lacking in both sides of my brain), here's my list of LH guitars:

Epiphone SG 400.
DeArmond M-75T.
Ibanez Road Star II bass, MIJ.
Chamberbrase knockoff bass, short scale, fretless.

The ones that found better homes:

Godin Exit 22.
DeArmond Starfire.
Seagull S6+ Cedar GT.
Jay Turser JT50, a basic telecopy.
Epiphone 12S acoustic, can't recall the model.
