FDP Forum / Fender Amps: Vintage (before 1985) / Fender Cabinet - Help me identify it?

Hi,

I have a Fender cabinet I bought several years ago that I'd appreciate help identifying. From looking around online, it looks like it might be a 60's 2x12" Bandmaster cabinet. I took the back of the cabinet off and here's what I found:

* Stamped on the center support is F031566
* Facing the amp, the left leg is stamped M57675 Pat. Pend.
* There are 2, 12" Celestion G12 16 ohms Classic Lead 80 speakers. The speakers are stamped with 66AT3987/20

If someone can identify and possibly date this cabinet and let me know if the speakers are original, I'd apprecaite it.

Thanks,

-pb

Looks like a Bandmaster or a Bassman cab from 1966 from the ink stamp. The way to know which one is by the width of the threaded inserts in the top of the cab. I'm not sure of the dimensions with out my vintage heads in front of me but the Bassman head is narrower than the Bandmaster.

In one of your pics I can just see the inserts for head mounting. I'd guess Bandmaster from your photo. It looks like the wider version.

The speaker info means nothing as these speakers are not original to the cabinet. It would have had Jensen, Oxford or Utahs
