Yeah, I’d have to use a winch to beat you.

So, a blindfolded arm wrassling match is in order.

I'm a bit of a purveyor of cheap guitars.
Modern manufacturing has come so far that many of these instruments are just perfect for us tinkerers.

I have a 2002 Squier Bullet Strat that I have modded to the point that the only original pieces are the body & neck.
I even paid for a re-fret after 10 years because the neck just feels sooooo good.

It's had at least 5 incarnations and is about to get another very soon. (stay tuned)
It's just lots of fun doing this stuff! (and therapeutic I might add too!)

- SORRY! Just remembered that I'm a righty so... mods, feel free to delete my post :^(

Thanks LeftyMeister! It's nice to feel wanted.

However, I haven't seen a strong show of hands...

OK - the Strat-o-copy is *almost* done. It is playable now. No pictures yet. I'm still missing the knobs and the trem cover. I neglected to order a matching trem cover when I ordered the PG. It's not the first time I've done that.

The Tele-clone is going to be another week or so. I've had parts sourcing issues. I think I have all the stuff on the way here now - what isn't here already.

Hopefully Friday. I at least want the knobs on it. You guys know what the back of a guitar looks like. ;-)

OK - I found some speed knobs that I kinda like. They're on there for now.

Here's the scoop. That's a pair of StewMac Parson Street humbuckers. The bridge is A2 and the neck A5. They Ohm out at 8.2k and 7.5k respectively.

I had to rout a lot under the PG. Not quite to a swimming pool. More like a hot tub and a kiddy pool. ;-)

There is a master volume and master tone control. They are coupled by the tone cap - a .022uF Orange Dop - ala '50s Les Paul wiring. Three way Tele switch.

I have another Double-Fat Strat. It has a pair of ToneRider A2 humbuckers w/2 volume controls and no tone controls at all. It also has a three-way switch.

Thanks! That was a custom order from Warmoth.

When the weather warms up I might strip the body and dye it green.
