Looks like Queenie and I get to see Harry Connick Jr. tomorrow.

One of the fringe benefits of Queenie's job and I get to tag along.

I don't have a lot of familiarity with him, but am aware of his high level talent. What little I have heard was impressive.

I'm betting it will be a very, very good show.

Really enjoy his music. Married quite well. You'll probably hear about that. His Christmas album just about covers all the essentials.

I handled his security when he appeared at our county fair. We did this all the time and had it down to a science.

Everything was fine until he called for all the people in the cheap seats to come down front. He said he liked to have people up close to him. So here came the unwashed masses who packed up close to the stage.

So now the folks with the expensive tickets were unhappy because they couldn't see, and they came to me to complain. "Talk to Harry, you heard what he said," sez I. So they left unhappy.

He did put on a helluva show, though, very talented guy and a great entertainer.

I'm sure I'll enjoy it. My music interest covers a pretty wide spectrum.

Queenie wants to see Dianna Ross, but that show is going to be a huge seat seller. Might not get in to that one.

They have a few shows coming ... all listed to the left on the linked page.

Saw Fogerty and posted on that here on the forum, great show.

I'd kind of like to see Alabama again. Saw them in the mid 80s when they were high on the charts.

Connick is supremely talented, and he owns the stage when he's on it. You will enjoy the show.

We have some of his early albums and one Christmas album. He's super talented.

Why he's doing a daytime talk show is anyone's guess. I can say the same for being a judge on American Idol.

Oh, as a music theory geek, I really liked Harry as an American Idol judge. Occasionally he would get into music theory, pointing out when someone played a diminished chord, for example.

Very good show. No pretense at all, sort of like watching the guy in his living room.

Had a mini orchestra, brass, woodwinds, strings.

The show was about Harry doing his thing, but the other band members were featured all along through the show. Probably goes without saying, but Harry can play any instrument you put in front of him.

A lot of the show theme revolved around his home town ... New Orleans

It was a very good show indeed and if your taste leans toward the *Jazzy* side of the spectrum you would probably really appreciate it.
