Rudolph was on last night.

Been loving this since I was 5 when it first came out.

Why is it that I associate most with the

Misfit Toys ?

Love it, Stratmanx!

I love to watch those because they remind me of my childhood, the wonder of Christmas and the winter snowy season. The stop motion animation is something I remember from being very young. There were a number of programs one being Gumby that used the stop motion.

Love those old Rankin-Bass Christmas specials. Mrs. B and I watch them every year if we can.

I also saw the first run of the show. Very well done. Burl Ives narration as the snowman was great.

An enduring question: Why is little "dolly for Sue" in the red & white checkered dress on the island? She doesn't have any apparent 'misfit.'
Believe it or not, when asked in a 1987 interview, producer Arthur Rankin Jr. offered this explanation:

"Dolly’s problem was 'psychological, caused from being abandoned by her mistress and suffering depression from feeling unloved.'”
