Called Chasing Trane. Really good. His late period stuff is a mindblower.

Thanks for posting this!!

He mesmerizes me.
In John Densmore's book he describes seeing Coltrane's quartet as a teen in LA. It hooked me and I have not looked back.
Describing Elvin Jones nailing his drums to the stage blew my mind.

I think it was on regular cable premium recently.

One thing that struck me is they worked constantly but were always broke. Yet you never saw them in anything but perfectly pressed suits.

I'd like to know how we got from there to multi millionaires taking the stage in ripped T-shirts and cargo shorts.

I'm rethinking my gig attire.

It was great, I just finished watching it.

My iPod loves the guy, I play random all the time, the iPod is always cueing Coltrane. Like the guy said in the vedio, I don’t always understand the guy but I’ll follow him anywhere.

PBS presented a Coltrane documentary two or three weeks ago (Independent Lens feature). (Same one?)

^ Alright! So if you don't subscribe to Netflix, you can watch it on the PBS web site.

Yeah, it was pretty good.
