I bought two pairs of pants for just under the price of one pair of pants. I thought that was pretty exciting.

I guess that kind of Cyber Monday purchasing makes me old as well.

Sweet -- I just have to convince myself that I was going to buy six of those things and now I've saved myself three grand!

Thanks Piney -- now I can finally buy myself a Les Paul.

Yep. This was something I needed to buy anyway as the insurance only covered a month of them after my labs came back low.

Normally, "Sale" doesn't grab me if I'm not already back in the market.

Well, I needed a few things from Mojotone and used the TURKEY17 code to save 15%. I saved about $45.

My Black Friday was a huge mistake of going to a Chinese restaurant in Milton-Freewater , Oregon.

The only money I spent that day and had no idea dog could taste that bad.. even the egg rolls were inedible.

But seriously . . . I got a great online deal from Musician's Friend on a Mac-based computer recording package (I bought it on Saturday).

Note - I used the MF link on the FDP.

I bought the "Stupid Deal of the Hour" late on Monday evening simply because at $14 one of those new red/black Fender guitar stands is worth it to give as a Christmas gift to a local relative.

I just did an on line survey, downloaded, printed and clipped a $5 coupon for my next purchase over $40 at Winn-Dixie.

When I redeem it for Depends, I'll admit I'm REALLY old.

When we watch Home Alone every Christmas, I wonder what Kevin's father did for a living to afford that house and a trip for everyone to Europe.

My wife and I bought nada for the day. No needs, no wants. We're happy with what we have.

****However, I did look at some sites looking for something that would be a real bargain. Looked at Best Buy for a home audio subwoofer. Found a nice unit on sale from a phony original price. I wanted to see how this would look in the checkout so I clicked on it. Got a message that if I bought this unit and two same brand full range floor units they would discount all items by 50%. Great, so I added those to the order. Went to checkout and the final total was actually 35% discount on all 3. Got in touch and ended up walking away. They could not explain the incorrect pricing and did not even try to defend it. Just said, "yeah, that isn't right" and had no way to make it right. So much for shopping. I'm done.

"When we watch Home Alone every Christmas, I wonder what Kevin's father did for a living to afford that house and a trip for everyone to Europe."

Guy absolutely had a ton of cash. How about when they tell the wife there are no flights, and without missing a beat, she says "How about a private plane?". Like second nature, "oh how about I spend $20,000 on a private plane instead?".

Oh and he flies in a $2,000 Burberry overcoat as well.

Though, one must also consider Home Alone 2, when they go to Miami and the hotel they chose to stay in was an absolute dump. I suspect there was a severe downturn in Mr. McAllister's business over the course of that year...

Late Cyber Monday purchase!

Last Christmas we got a set of wall sconces abutting a painting in our living room. Intention was to put those remote operated battery candles on there, and well, you know how that goes.

Frontgate sends me a $50 gift card as a Christmas gift every year. They sell almost nothing for $50, I guess the idea is they send me $50, I send them back $100, they win. Not this year.

A pair of these candles sells there for a whopping $61.00, free shipping. Without the $50, I’d just have gone to Target for half that.

Applied their Cyber Monday code for 30% off (they extended it like a lot of merchants), and it brought the price down to a total of $46 and change after tax.

I didn’t think it would accept my $50 since I was under, but since they make it a gift card as opposed to a coupon, it was accepted and I got what I needed for a grand total of $0.00.

Having needed the items and having paid $0.00, how much did I save?

ADDENDUM: my order history shows my last order was about $50 a year ago yesterday. Obviously another Cyber Monday purchase, and utilizing the same gift.

My big cyber/monday purchase was two dozen guitar picks - at full price on Amazon.

But today I saved $20 on a new amp - because I asked for it.

I guess I splurged. A new Hurst shifter stick for my 65 Mustang, and 23AndMe kits for MrsC and I. Only the latter on sale.

Yea, I got a last minute thing.

I ordered a set of robotuners for my 339, as it was feeling alone in Gibsonland, and they NEVER have sales on them.

Now I find out that they're overnighting them...free shipping...from Germany. Shipping today, here tomorrow.

I didn't spend THAT much.
