What?
Nov 22nd, 2017 11:42 AM   Edit   Profile   Print Topic   Search Topic

I know that there have been threads on these before, but I just ordered one via the FDP link (to any of the stores) for $49.99

I'll let my Wife give it to me as a gift.

Those of you who have these, are they fun?

Thanks

It's pretty cool for jammin by yourself. Up and running without a lot of learning curve. Just a few simple notes or chords to get it going. Adjust tempo on the fly. Numerous canned settings for styles. Nice little tool, especially for $50! I don't recall what I paid but it was more than $50!

I just ordered one. And I see the local music store has a stack for the same price.

Heck, I just ordered one too. $79 with the optional footswitch and power supply. Now my wife will not worry about it ;-)

Pretty cool! Anyone checking out the differences between this one, and the Trio +? I wonder if it's worth the price for the plus model?

I went ahead and made the plunge for the Trio+. The learning curve is there but it does more.

Here's an internal link to a discussion on the Trio+ from last year.

FWIW, I haven't had a second go with one since my post in that thread.

I did the same thing! Reverb has a 15% off sale, and I got the Trio Plus and the FS3X footswitch for less than what the Trio Plus normally goes for. (I almost bought used, and the two together would have cost me about the same.)

Thanks for the link to the thread, Mick.

I do have a question that I haven't seen answered yet. Can you play something using the looper, and then play that back and use that sequence to start the "band" in the Trio +?

For those that have about an hour to spare...this is the best (and funniest) demo I've found for the Trio Plus.
I can only say, after watching this and realizing the capabilities of this pedal, I'm really glad I purchased one. No, it's not a perfect design, but I wonder what they might be able to do with software updates?
larryguitar19, I hope you have time to check this out!

Walsh--yes I checked out that youtube demo. It's an hour long so I'll carve out some time later.

Some people read the whole manual first and then go at it in an organized fashion.

I find the best thing for my temperament is to read the quick start guide and fiddle around with it for awhile. Then I go back and read the manual when I have some sort of context understanding.

I tried it right out of the box and within 30 minutes was able to get some decent results. I'll post a link later after I've had it for a week or so.

I've had one for a while and initially had trouble with it because I was embellishing to much when teaching it. I used it on a trip a lot recently and now teach it with simple chord progressions or bass lines. Bass lines work extremely well. I've had awesome results and love the thing now; results are consistent and it's teaching me to play to some unusual beats.

Me too! Mine will probably arrive later in the week. It "shipped" but it's not in the system yet. Really can't wait to play around with this thing.
