NGOD = New Guitar Order Day
But I won't see it for around 16 weeks/3-4 months! That's the quoted build time for an order they don't have in stock. They did have a couple lefties in stock, but not in the color (Amber) that I wanted.
I ordered a left-handed X-20 Artisan 6-string in Amber with the Anthem pickup upgrade, and also upgraded to receive the hardshell case (standard) and the gigbag (optional add-on for this model).
Everything else is standard specs: 25.5" scale length, 1 3/4" nut, Gotoh 510 tuners, all carbon fiber (I decided against the "wood top" option - which seems a little steep to me at $450!).
Here's a pic of an Amber X-20 lefty:

Several more pics in profile - here's one more showing the carbon fiber close up.

What's the purpose of the scalloped area on the upper bout? It looks odd to me.

Yeah, from some angles it looks weird, but it's really a cool design along with the cutaway and the angle of the body behind the neck making room for your hand...then there's the arm bevel on the lower bout. All very well thought out.
The placement of the soundhole there doesn't seem to hurt the tone...

Unplugged, it sounds reminiscent of a resonator.

Just got an e-mail this morning - my Emerald is finished! Just sent payment, they'll be sending me tracking information as soon as it goes out the door (and out of the country of Ireland!).
Pics of the real deal when it arrives...

Some nice playing - love this song - and this one has an interesting dragon "inlay" in the lower bout of the body (under his arm).

"Can't wait to see your guitar!"
Me too.
A very nice Martin D-18 is going to be moving out to make room for it. Hate to let the D-18 go, but it is probably the most marketable of my current stable - and the most like the J-18 I have on order (to arrive around May, if Martin is on schedule).

Not here yet - I haven't received notification that it has shipped yet (from Ireland)...
...so I suspect I'm looking at late next week at the earliest. That's fine, this week is crazy with lots on the calendar (including a big satellite seminar that our church is hosting this Friday called Work as Worship). So I will just have to be patient. It's not like I don't have anything else to play!
