We don't have room for a full drum kit, but we would like something to help get our late son's unrecorded music into at least good enough recordings for copyright and for family members to enjoy.

I'm willing to spend around $300.

I would like to get one with a snare.

This one caught my attention...

...and green is my favorite color!

Go to your local music mega store. (Several Guitar Centers in the DFW metro...and probably several other discount music stores.)

As for the in house drum expert or salesman. Ask them what they like.

I bought Meinl simply because I bought it used from my percussionist when he had back surgery and 1) was quitting the band and 2) needed cash. I also own a Latin Percussion OctoSnare cajon and a Pearl djembe...all quality made hand percussion tools.

So, go to the mega store, ask the expert to play a few and ask if he has the brand that you linked above...feel free to buy from the guy or buy from the FDP sponsor...or got to Guitar Center who routinely has a "drum guy" on duty and is also an FDP sponsor and make your purchase there.
