Had never heard this particular performance before I stumbled across it this morning. A bit of a wank-fest by today's standards, perhaps, but an interesting, historical document, none the less.

As over-long as Clapper's solos here may seem, they certainly contain some beautiful little phrasing nuggets.

Darn good sound quality for a live recording of that time. Sure beats the hell out of all the cellphone recordings a person has to wade through on YouTube these days...

Cream was a trail blazer. For me, at least. :)

I burned out on Cream a long time back from playing their tunes to death in bands and at jams. Then just in the last year or so I started to enjoy hearing them again. Great recording. Thanks for posting!

Jack has one of those unmistakable voices. Kind of like Greg Lake (not like they sound the same).

In roughly 2010, I finished a briefcase gig in Amsterdam, walked across the street and bought a ticket for a Jack Bruce show.

Stood right behind FOH.
Jack and the band were great but the mix was bad.

Cream is my all time favorite band. I'm sorry I never got to see them live though I've seen Clapton several times and Bruce once.

Similar to my experience.

Boy, Ginger was really a force of nature, especially among rock drummers of that time.
