These guys have tremendously embarrassed the United States and UCLA. UCLA should dismiss all three players from the team if or when they are released from custody. I won't go so far as to suggest that they be expelled from the school, as shoplifting as a crime seems not to rise to that level of punishment.

If the school lets these boys stay on the team, what this says to all of us is that there are no consequences for this type of criminal behavior.

And before anyone says they are just kids and deserve a second chance, save it. That is hogwash.

I think so as well. Causing an international incident should be grounds for getting kicked off the team.

Not really for expulsion like you said, but what chance is there that these 3 would be at UCLA without basketball?

I'm wondering what a couple of years in a Chinese prison will do for their NBA careers?

Their punishment should be that they must remain in China until they have succcessfully completed the high school academic work that a Chinese student must complete in order to be admitted to UCLA on an academic scholarship.

Waiting for the following statement.

We look forward to clearing our names as these charges are totally false and without merit. This is simply not who we are. We are willing to make any financial arrangement to satisfy the alledged victim and or state, without admission of guilt on our part.

^^^Ouch!^^^

If guilty the NCAA Should ban them from college ball. What is a slap on the wrist going to say the other players and those younger who are supposed to be able to look up to these "role models".

If UCLA drops them, will there be legal action?
