Amazon sells USA Fenders and Gibsons. I've been looking at a Gibson Explorer. The prices look comparable to Musicians Friend.

No, but I'd think they'd be as good or better than MF or GC. Amazon cusromer service is top notch as is their return policy.

Have bought guitars from MF, but not Amazon. Both are FDP sponsors, so don't forget to use the link above.

Yes, I have, an FSR Gretsch G5420T in Ice Blue Sparkle. Came in the original shipping box, unopened from the factory, inside another box to protect it while enroute. Sold on Amazon and fulfilled by "My Music Life."

It was a perfect transaction in every way. And the guitar is not too shabby either.

With Prime it wouldn't scare me a bit to buy a guitar from Amazon.

If I don't like it, just hit the return button and it prints a return label. UPS picks it up the next day. NO FUSS!

No guitars, but I have bought pedals, mics, gig bags, and other musical gear. I see them as another source, on par with Musicians Friend and the like.

And as K4 points out, they have an excellent return policy, especially if you are a Prime member.

A few years ago (2011 iirc) I was shopping guitars on Amazon for sport because they had this sale - 17% off - see the new price when the item is in your cart. I played that game for several days.

It was Christmas Eve and I was playing and noticed that some guitars were doubling the discount in the cart. And a few tripled it! Yes, that day I bought nice Schecter for 51% off.

Amazon is a good place to buy guitars. I've bought a couple from them. No issues whatsoever.

Last year bought a MIJ Tele from Amazon. Perfect process(other than the shipping time.) Would more than likely do again.

Yes, I bought a PRS SE Bernie Marsden a few years back. I used some AmEx points to buy down the price substantially. Zero problems with Amazon, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Yep, basses too. They are generally setup poorly at GC with rusty, weenie-gauge strings anyway. I always do a restring & setup at home on a new one, only diff would be returning if it's a dog, a bit extra hassle to ship back vs. store return. But I've always kept them.

I bought a Gretsch 5420T, it was on sale and I had $250.00 points credit. Amazon Prime which is free shipping. Total out the door to me $250.00, how could I loose. Overall a nice guitar.
