As my neck shape question, I have another crazy question? Where do you store your picks? While handling different guitars at Sam Ash, I figured I would purchase something. Bought a small pack of picks. Where would I keep them? Find any small plastic container, plastic cup? I guess, if I had too many, I could get a small partitioned storage container for screws from a hardware store. But I only have around 10.

Keep one between the instrument strings, a few scattered around in the rooms where I usually play, and a bunch in a pick case (small altoid-like tin box).

Come to think of it, an actual altoid box would probably work pretty well also.

Sandwich bag sitting on the amp. Some came in a small can, as presented by one of my brothers for Christmas one year.

We all remarked that the little can reminded us of the specimen cans the Health Unit handed out when we were in elementary school and there was an outbreak of hookworm infestation. A lot of our classmates didn't wear shoes. But we wore shoes and didn't get hookworms.

So here's your gross-out post of the day.

I always keep a few in the front left pocket of my 501s. A pick is kept between the strings of each guitar I own near the nut. I have a small Mason style jar on my dresser with many picks in it. I also just bought a small pick shaped ceramic dish while at the Taylor visitors center last month that sits on my Hammond RT3 in the living room with an assortment of picks. I like to sit on the organ bench facing the room and play guitar.

I also have a small wooden box that I keep special picks I have collected in. Artist picks, picks from various manufactures and vintage picks.

They are just freakin' everywhere! Well so are the guitars!

All over the place. I usually have one tucked in between 2 blades of my pocket knife. Most others are on a shelf in my closet.

Back in the day I used to use a 35mm film canister. Probably hard to come by now.

Now, its just a pick between the strings, and the extras in a tiny plastic bag in my "guitar stuff" tool bag.

Right now, no particular container, but for a dozen or so I’d probably use a plastic pill box. A little plastic baggie works well (1.5x2.5 in., or so).

I like to side mine under the lower edge of the pick guards of my guitars. I loosen up a screw just enough to hold one or two there. I also throw a few in each case where the extra pack of strings are kept.

A few seem to find their way into the spare change bowl, or on a window sill, or find a home between the cushions of the couch I do most of my best noodling on. If I'm going some place to play I put a couple in the handy little change pocket in my pants. Most of those I'll find in the washer or dryer the next week and put them back in the spare change bowl.

Always one in my pocket wedged between the blades of my pocket knife. Then one of the little pick holders in the pocket of every case.

Something like this

I have an original Hushnel pick wallet that was hand-presented to me by the originator, but being an old finger pickin' bass player it don't go on the gig too often so the Hushnel pick wallet is reserved for those special items I don't want to lose.

I bought a narrow cylindrical shaped ebony box in Africa years ago and could never figure out a use for it, till I realized that it could hold guitar pics in my music room.
