I'm going to disclose my personal results from using an herbal medicine, and then if you're interested, you can research, read reviews, and make your own decision as to whether it might be beneficial to you.
I've been taking a natural herb called Cissus Quadrangularis. It comes in capsule form and can be purchased from Amazon, from several different sellers. (Use the link above if you decide to try it.) The herb has been used for many many years, but few actual studies have been performed.

My story: A couple of years ago, I slipped and fell, and landed on my back. To make a long story short, about a week later, after finally getting x-rays, I was told I had two acutely fractured ribs.
I began researching what to do for fractured ribs, and ran across a link to this product, which claimed that it can help fractures heal up to 40% faster. The "rest of the story" is that it can also help relieve joint pain.
When I saw my doctor about the broken ribs, I also mentioned my knee pain and so he sent me for x-rays. I was diagnosed with pseudogout in both knees. The main symptom for me, was that it was painful to walk up and down stairs; and had been for approximately two years.
My doctor prescribed me some pills that my insurance wouldn't cover, and when I went to pick them up, the cost was over $300 for a one month supply. As luck would have it, I had already ordered some Cissus Quadrangularis for my ribs, and those pills arrived the same day, so I decided to try them first.
Within a few days of taking just half the recommended dosage, my knees quit hurting. Within a couple of weeks, my ribs quit hurting.
I continued taking about 2 pills per day for a year or so, then began tapering off, to see if the knee pain came back. I am now taking approximately 1-2 pills per week, more as a precaution than anything. I still get occasional knee pain, but it's not the same pain as before, and not when climbing stairs. I'm taking about 1-2 pills per week, instead of every few hours, as one would with pain pills. The cost for 150 pills is about $15 on Amazon, so do the math....

Do you have joint pain? Will these pills help you? I have no idea! Read the reviews on Amazon, and as I stated above, do some research, try them if you think they might help. Or don't. I don't know how they work, or why. I'd just like to know if there are any other "success stories" with this herb, here on the FDP. And, maybe help someone else who is willing to try it.

A well known herb among those of us that study and depend on natural healing to keep us perking along as we advance in age. Cissus Quadrangularis is available from many sources...some better than others.

So glad you found relief from this wonderful source of health and healing provided for us through nature.

I never heard of this, but I'm glad you mentioned it. My interest would be mainly for back pain, although as an old guy, of course I have other joint problems. There seems to be a lot of info on the web about this herb, some of it relating to back pain.

I've just started to investigate further. So far, I'm glad to see that it has few, if any, side effects. I wish there was info on drug interactions, as I don't want the meds I take now compromised (or my health).

Here's the link to my personal favorite go-to for supplement information; very long, detailed and "scientific," but worth skimming, at least. There are brief, lay summaries of sections of info along the way, highlighted with a blue background.

Thanks 009! Some more good info. And, I hope the pills help you like they have helped me. It doesn't cost much to try them, and being a natural herb, I think that drug interactions would be negligible, but again, I'm no doctor! Please let me know if they help, I've told many people about this and so far, many have been interested but I don't know anyone else who they have actually helped, and very few have even tried.
The "fat loss" thing is definitely not working for me!

My wife also has some minor joint problems here & there, and she is looking forward to trying it also. I would have ordered it by now, but I can’t think of anything else I really need to put my purchase order over the Amazon free shipping threshold; maybe two bottles of this (well, probably).

I’ve looked at the Amazon reviews, etc., and “Amazon’s Choice” seems to be the best choice, indeed.

No more guitars. Went with the two-bottle option.

JAFO and 009, I think if it helps even one person, then it was worth all that typing!

I'm surprised that willie knew about it, he's the only person I know of so far that was already aware of it. Doctors seem to be trying to keep it a big secret. ;)

My only question is can it be taken if you have liver disease. I have to ask my doctor about that.

It seems to be protective of the liver. See section 10.2 of the Examine.com ref.

An internet search reveals lots of articles, etc.; here are some other refs (copy & paste):

(You can "Find" [on PC] the word "liver" in a couple of these documents.)

JAFO - If your doctor comes up with a definitive answer regarding liver safety, ask him what the ref. is. A really good, medical quality supplement ref. is difficult to find.

I'm looking forward to using this stuff. It seems to be helpful in osteoporosis, something my wife is concerned about.
