It's huge over there.

What's different about it, you ask?

1. They don't really go fast enough to get hurt.

2. They get upside-down a lot.

3. Racers' wives are track marshals; they hurry to their husband's car to dab ointment on his booboos and send him on his way.

They see me rollin'--they hatin'

And I thought driving on the D.C. beltway was crazy.

It's way more civilized.

That actually looks like some real fun!

I quit a job working in and around DC that I had for 12 years just to get out of driving the rat race.

3 hours or more to get to and from to work. That's on a good day.

In the mid 80s I ran Karts in the dirt @ Carlsbad Raceway. Very dangerous but alas I survived another risk from my younger years.

We occasionally would run the Karts on the TT track similar to the above, a dirt road course. Too much fun for words. We had to put a chicane in before one of the jumps though, just too much air when going 60-70 mph.

I like how they place large truck tires in the straights to help keep the speeds down and the action poppin'.

Who says those Swedes don't know how to have fun! Almost looks like they intentionally pick cars for their poor cornering ability.
Watch out for those curves!

(Doesn't really work does it.)

Looks like they know how to have fun in Sweden!

When I was a kid growing up in Indiana, I always went to the Indy 500 and the Hoosier 100. The latter was held at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds on a one mile dirt tract. All the racing greats participated and I loved it!
