To be truly a left-handed amp, all the controls need to read 10 to 0, clockways.

You know the rule: "righty quiety--lefty loudy."

Sweet! I love goldtops. The shape is reminiscent of my MK Patriot.

I had a Dean EVO special Select years ago. It was a nice guitar. I always meant to grab one of these. They haven't made them in years.

This is on my wish list. Going to be a while though. I'm regretting giving my SE to my son now. Miss it and want another Humbucker Guitar.

PRS S2 custom 24.

That seems to happen every time I get a guitar - I'm either out of town, or too busy to spend time with it right away. Oh well, beats the alternative (being unemployed or dead...).

Initial impressions.

I suspect the guitar is NOS. I can't find a mark on it and the plastic film was still on the control cavity covers. Frets look great too.

It needs a setup.

The pots are wired lefty - and we know how that works out. They're the cheapest mini pots too, so those are coming out.

But, as it, the guitar has that snotty P90 snarl. I'll get it set up and give a better review later.

All in all I'm very happy for my $204.50 investment.

I had a chance to work up this guitar this morning.

First was to change out those weenie pots. In fact, the volume pot didn't shut all the way off. I wasn't worried about it since they were coming out any ways.

I went with CTS pots which means I had to drill the body. 500k volume and 250k tone with a .047uF cap in between the volume and tone pots. Those pot values like the LP Jr. of long ago.

The guitar has great P90 tone. I'm am inclined not to change the pickups - as is my tradition.

The set up was pretty close. Nut was slotted well. Intonation was close - and now "right" (as right can be).

I oiled up the fretboard since I believe it had never been done. It looks way better. Restrung with GHS Big Core Nickel Rockers. I've waiting for the fretboard to dry before playing again.

I really think this was NOS and hanging around a shop its whole life.

Welcome home, baby!

Proof

I got back to this guitar last night. It did still need a little tweaking. I lowered the bridge and loosened the true rod about a turn. It was tight and the neck was pretty flat. This guitar plays well with fairly low action. I do need to put some more foam under the bridge pickup to bring it up a little. But, all in all, it’s a nice player.

It does have the skinny slim neck like so many imports did 10+ years ago seemed to have. That’s really the only knock I have about the guitar.

I weighs 7.94 lbs. Not bad for the style of guitar. I will order an aluminum tailpiece and install that at the next string change.

Nicer strap is ordered.

I bought a guitar a couple of weeks ago, but it's not for me. Lrgo drove me to a doctor's appointment about a month ago. I wanted to show my thanks by buying her lunch and reimbursing her some gas money. She refused and told me that I could thank her by buying Kego a new guitar.

This is all I could afford
