The guy down the street must be devastated, because he's been blaring the Tom Petty all day.

Makes me sad.

Yeah. BBC showed the 1980 "Rock Goes to College" gig from Oxford Poly last night.

It's weird because last week I was working on a few Petty tunes. Sat down last night to pick up where I left off. Talk about a different mindset. It's depressing.

I have been listening to alot of his music in the last few days between XM TP Radio and my own collection. What a body of work.

This morning I read a RS interview with Peter Wolf who opened for the Heartbreakers on some dates this last tour. He said that they've been buds since 77 when the HB's opened for J. Geils. Wolf said that lately Tom was in an incredible amount of hip and back pain.

That alone makes me concerned about what the autopsy report may say. I hope it's not painkiller, etc related.

If you read the link, scroll down and check out the 3 interviews from 2014 from Heartbreakers Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench and Ron Blair.

I think that one of the coolest things about Tom Petty was that in an age of the video is about the video, he said screw that and made the video about the song.

Somewhere around here I have like a 4-Hour DVD on the Heartbreakers, I'm going to have to dig that out this weekend.

My gosh. What happened to Peter Wolf's hair?!? It looks like a cheap Halloween wig.

I'm listening to Full Moon Fever right now.

One of many great albums from one of my favourites.

Gonna miss him.

I like so much of his music. I really got into the Mudcrutch stuff, too.
