I played a big jam on Sunday and all I had with me were a Les Paul and an SG.

The Elvis Costello tune Peace, Love, and Understanding came up, and I wanted a bright jangly sound for it. My pal Tom had one of these Strats with him and he said, "take it on up there."

The artwork is pretty cool on this one: very appropriate for a fall jam because the colors and images are perfect for Halloween.

It played perfectly and sounded great through the Deluxe Reverb.

The artwork looks like its heavily influenced by Wes Freed. Among other things, Freed has done the artwork on most of albums by Drive-By Truckers.

I know David, the artist, nice guy. I actually have the original painting of "The Tree Of Life" hanging on my wall with a few of his other works. We have been friends for years. He is based in San Diego. He is currently working on a project with Lucas Arts, Star Wars. Very busy career. I'll tell him you have been commenting positively on his stuff. His main influence is Bob Ross, no kidding.
