What brands are you loyal?

Toyota. I will never buy another car if it's not a Toyota. I have owned six and they have never given me a problem besides general maintenance.

Merrill shoes. Love them even for casual wear.

Sony products. Always good if not great.

Izod clothes. Most of my shirts, shorts and pants are Izod.

Casio watches. I have to buy new bands on Amazon multiple times before the watch finally gives out.

Noted: I am a very loyal person. Married my high school sweetheart back in 95. Lol. Also my parents are the same. So some history there.

I like Toyota/Lexus vehicles as well. Brand loyalty is a tricky thing though as manufacturers regularly betray their customer's loyalty. Brooks Brothers, Lands' End, LL Bean, and Orvis have all cheapened their merchandise (for the most part) while raising prices. Not what their lines used to be.

I could say the same with Rolex. From a company that had a rep as a solid, rugged watch manufacturer in the 50's and 60's, it is now a faux luxury brand (although the watches are still very good).

Whirlpool came up the other day and, so far, our experience has been good but I hear from appliance salesmen that it's all crap now.

Any brand that I use exclusively isn't a deliberate decision based on loyalty. I reserve that quality for family and loved ones.

I will add.

I will never buy a Samsung appliance again. We remodeled our kitchen and 2 out of the 4 needed repair in the first year. Both under warranty. My ice machine in the refrigerator has been replaced 3 times in the last 2 years. Extended warranty on that.

Now their TVs are great. Appliances not so much.

I will say that I'll likely never buy another Chrysler product again. I've owned Mopar more than any other brand vehicle but after my last go around with a Jeep Liberty I was more alienated than jefe :-p

Allen Edmonds shoes. I was burning through at least two pairs of $50 dress shoes a year before I got my first pair of black, AE oxfords. I've now had them three years, and they look as good as the day I bought them. Two more pairs have followed me home since (brown wingtips and tan boat shoes), and they've all held up marvelously. I only stray when I need athletic shoes (very infrequently).

edit for spelling.

I have a number of them.

Ecco dress and casual shoes.

Gap underwear (only one particular style)

Ralph Lauren suits.

Brooks Brothers dress shirts.

Psycho Bunny T-shirts and polos.

Robert Graham T-shirts

Nike sneakers.

All of my man care products, shaving and hair styling, from Dollar Shave Club

Degree deodorant.

I am sure there are a ton more I am not thinking of at the moment.

A number of these are exclusive, I don't think i own a non-BB dress shirt, and only one non RL suit.

I've had great luck with vintage Gillette razors and all the English shaving creams I've bought so there's that.

I'm kinda surprised no one responded: The Beatles, ABBA, The Doors, etc. ;o)

When I find a Brand Name whose product works for me I tend to stay with it until it doesn't, but I don't know if that's loyalty or laziness!

Polo shirts and underwear. Case knives. Craftsman tools, maybe...

Many of previously listed brands carry weight, but it makes no sense to have blind loyalty, because as Chris says, "all cheapened their merchandise (for the most part) while raising prices." It's the human tendency, unfortunately.

It's more energizing to be open to all providers, to be "show-me" Missourians...

The Fine Line Between Clever & Stupid

S&W: Never met a wheel gun of theirs I didn't like.

Honda: My Accord has just been stupidly reliable. Next car will be a Honda.

Fender: Solid body guitars begin and end with them for me...and they're easy to mod.

Vasque hiking boots. They're what Timberland used to be, durable and real hiking boots.

Apple. Can they do everything a PC can? No, not at all...but it's nice to own a computer that doesn't require an at-home IT department to keep running correctly.

Once it was Cole Haan Shoes, once my absolute favorite. Making them was taken off shore, and now they fall apart at about a year and a half. I have two American made pairs that are no longer wearable as the welt is gone from getting them resoled so many times.

Even the cobbler said "later on CH shoes, they are crap now".
