Local market had a great sale on roasted red pepper hummus as well as garlic hummus. Costco sells these thin, crunchy rice crackers (4 cheese and sesame) and they pair together perfectly.

I need some Milk Duds.

I like those rice crackers, but have you tried them with pita chips?

My current favorite chip is Triscuit Thin Chip. Very few ingredients, no nasty stuff in there at all. I use them with cheese, humuus and salad.

No, I like the rice crackers. They have few calories and carbs. They're really just a hummus delivery system.

Plain tortilla chips work well as a delivery system, too.

Except they're loaded with excess fat, salt, and calories. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE tortilla chips, especially with a good salsa and bean dip. The hummus thing is simply to get a tasty lower calorie snack. Kinda like sugar eggs.

My family has been on a humus kick the last year. I enjoy it with some good pita bread.

Another good delivery system is jicama. Most have probably never tried it.

Rhino, pita is the best way to eat it as a sandwich with onions, tomatoes, sprouts, and hippie dreams.

MJB, when we lived in California, jicama was a salad staple. Love the crunch. Available here in Idaho but we wouldn't use enough of it before it went south.

Chris, coincidentally, my wife reports that she just brought home some "Regular" Hummus, no spicey inclusions. I first learned of this glorious Hummus at a restaurant here in Austin....early 1990s.

Damn, I just looked at the those rice crackers nutritional chart. Maybe I should eat tortilla chips. 15 crackers is 130 calories, 25 grams of carbs and 0 fiber. I'd probably be ahead making a pita sandwich with some veggies.

Like hummus... figure the way I present it is offset by the healthy of the hummus.
