Are you a wet shaver who uses the old fashioned safety razor or straight? Are you a cartridge man (if so what)? Do you use a brush and soap or cream or canned product? Do you prefer an electric (if so what)? Shave in the shower or after?

Just curious how those who shave most days take their whiskers off.

I've don't it all but prefer wet shaving once again (since about 2011) after a shower and at the sink. Still use an electric on occasion (Norelco) but get much better results with a safety razor, brush, and shaving soap or cream.

Not sure what the obsession is with shaving, but:

:^)

I use Edge for sensitive skin (orange can)and apply it with my hand. I use a double-edged disposable razor (sometimes one of those reloadable quad-bladed razors) and shave before taking a shower. I usually shave every other day...sometimes I skip one more day if I'm not working.

When I get dressed I usually start with my underwear, then socks, then pants, then shirt and shoes. But before all that I moisturize.
...oh sorry - I guess TMI.
Hahahahahahaaaa!!!

Oh, and I shaved my legs the other day. I used an electric shaver...just did knees on down.
I fancy myself a cyclist, so...

Also, I don't have much hair mid shin down, but plenty above half way. It looks pretty weird, so, as a cyclist, I feel ok with shaving to make the legs look less weird.
Or more weird?

Oh...again TMI? :^)

Joined Dollar Shave Club a few months ago, went with the two blade cheapo. Get 5 cartridges every month for $3.

Use Edge sensitive skin every workday usually skip weekends if we have no big plans.

After 20 years in the Corps shaving every day I skip any day I can.

Safety Razor on a daily basis , switching between a multitude of brushes and razors as well as loads of different creams and soaps. Pretty much exclusively face lather these days. A dab of cream on moistened brush. Or swirl the brush in the soap bowl. Works just as good for me as whipping up a frothy lather beforehand.
Also a bunch of different aftershave balms .

Beard kept close-trimmed with Norelco trimmer. Neck shaved with Norelco electric rotary. Will occasionally wet shave the neck with double-edged blade if I'm wearing a suit (rare) or she's worth the trouble.

Interesting that a couple of shave before your shower. Your whiskers are more vulnerable to the blade after a shower.

I shave while in the shower. I lather up my hair then put some of the suds on my face. Wait a little while then grab my razor and shave. Not much to it. Never have cut myself. Been doing it this way for years .

hot washcloth,

Edge gel (Orange),

Gillette Quattro for the bulk, followed by

Schick SlimTwin for details and missed spots

I had a beard, then moustache for about 25 years. Never again. Shave everyday, later on weekends.

I never grew a beard but I had a mustache for a good 35 years and then just shaved if off one day. Now, I don't miss it even though it hid imperfections. ;o)

Indeed, that's the thing I've whined about with so many guys over 50 sporting the white mustache and goat. Cliches, everyone of them. Add a Led Zep t-shirt, ball cap, and cargo shorts and your ugly naked feet in sandals and you're every child's nightmare. ;o)

cmon Chris..its the scruffy guy look!..its happening and trendy..(puke)...it seems that just about any white guy on tv commercials sports it

as far as shaving....ever 2-3 days I shave...stand in the shower, use a disposable....after 3-5 shaves I pitch it...Barbasol shave cream...if I run out I use cream rinse....

but I'm growing a beard thanks to Irma...so I will get more mileage out of razor, shave cream..etc.

CO2 ... is there anything it can't do?

I work from home most days -- so being presentable is not the issue it once was.

I'm going to risk being drummed out of the FDP shaving corps by admitting that four out of seven days, I'm a shower shaver. I use one of my EJ DE89s loaded with a Feather and a cheap ass cake of Van der Hagen soap which I lather up by hand. I don't even use a mirror.

On the weekends and any day when I have to go out in public, I treat myself and do the full monty with brush and bowl after the shower. The only time I don't use a DE razor is when I travel by air.

I shave every day -- no 'stash or neck beard.
