Several years backBeatlefan wrote that he had a factory wiring error on his tele. I think I may have the same problem when using both pickups (switch in mid position). The volume controls don't do what I think they should do. When I turn one completely off, there is no sound. Same result if I do it with the other volume control. On my Rick 330, turning one volume down still leaves the other pickup audible.

I've seen this on a few Thinline Telecasters that have the 2V/2T controls.

Some Gibson Les Pauls operate like this too.

It's an easy fix.

The pickups are probably wired in series and in my opinion, should be in parallel. You say it's an easy fix. Any idea how to ?

Sure. This is a problem for most modern Les Paul players too.

If you have the Deluxe wiring scheme with two HBs, a volume and tone for each, and the 3-way switch, you already have all the parts you need.

It's a simple mod to do with a soldering stick.
