Just curious.

My Breedlove Stage Concert is arriving today. No acoustics amp, but I have a Princeton Reverb, a Carvin Vintage 16, and a Bugera V22.

I'll be trying all three!

Actually a plain old guitar amp isn't too bad. In the 70s I used my '65 bandmaster as an acoustic amp in a country band and it worked very well. Many do it today. I'm a fan of the Duo Tones (Paul Johnson & Gill Orr), an acoustic surf duo, yes that Paul Johnson (Mr. Moto). They played shows through guitar amps. Gill, a Music Man HD65 and Paul maybe a Fender DeVille or the like.

Presently I'm using a Fishman Loudbox 100. These are quite nice, no longer made but replaced by the Loudbox Artist. The Loudbox Mini is also very good.

I did have a Crate acoustic amp (sold it) that was actually very good. Lesser price tag but sounded great.

I like to have the amp on stage as a monitor even if there is good PA. I send the line out of the Fishman to the PA so I have control of tone and stage volume.

I've gotten the most natural acoustic sound playing an acoustic through a bass amp or keyboard amp. They tend to have a flatter frequency response than guitar amps.

Haven't played a gig in about a year, but when I left off, it was a RedEye preamp into a QSC K10 powered PA speaker.

In my opinion, acoustic instruments don't sound very good through electric guitar amps.

I have a Genz Benz Shenandoah 150 that I really like.

They don't make them anymore, so I take good care of it.

Very natural tone, and I can run 2 guitars and 2 mics through it.

I have several that I've picked up over the years, all sound good-to-great: Marshall AS50D, Ultrasound 30, Bose L1 Compact. I also go into the PA quite frequently, through any number of interfaces - I have several of those, too.

I'm playing my 2016 Gibson J-45 Standard through my Fender Acoustic Pro 200 Watt Amp and it sounds BIG.

The 200 watts and it's 12 inch neodymium speaker, and separate tweeter and crossover provide a full-spectrum of sound and a BIG bottom end, which, I believe, is a major plus for a Gibson J-45.

Another plus is the Amp's built-in Effects Loop send/return with level control so you can use your existing pedals and/or pedalboard, a tilt-back feature, and sweepable midrange and phase switch for helping to control feedback.

Not to sound like an ad here, but this is really a GREAT Amp.

And, if you're like me and own Fender Amps, you know how reliable they are and Fender stands behind their warranties.....

59 Bassman Ri and 57 Deluxe work great for PA and acoustic instruments. My HRD, which is based on a Bassman circuit also sounds good.

Another user of the Fishman Loudbox mini. It just sounds better than any other acoustic amp I have ever used. With a DI out, it is powerful enough for any application.

I use a Fishman Loudbox 100, a Crate 1-10 (model ?) or a Trace Elliot 2x5".

All sound good but the Fishman is best.

I wish somebody would chime in here about the two Roland Acoustic Chorus amps, the 60 and the 90.

I would like to give one of those a test drive someday.
