What are the 3 chords this guy plays at 3:10 and again at 3:29? They sound like something from a song but I cannot identify them...or the song.

Many thanks,

MG

First, his Strat is tuned down 1/2 step.

Using the shorthand SxFx to indicate string and fret:

Sounds like S5F0,S4F5,S3F7; S5F0,S4F4,S3F7; S5F0,S4F2,S3F2.

Or G5/A; D (2nd inversion); A5. Somewhat reminiscent of the chorus section of "All Right Now."

Second chord is not truly 2nd inversion; that would be A, D, F#, whereas this is A, F#, D. Call it D/A. There, coffee finally kicked in!

For all those that complain about buzz or hum, you can hear it between riffs on this demo on a new amp in the store. It is what it is.

Thanks for all this...at 6:21 he starts from a G position for the first chord, could that be the same as the other two spots?

That chord combo is reminiscent of the turnaround going into the verses of AC/DC's tune Heatseeker.

At 6:21, it sounds like A5; G5; D; A5 played in open position. Similar, but not quite the same.

OK and thanks to one and all!

At 70 years old and having been playing since age 7...yikes!...it's great to know I still can learn something new!

Many thanks again....you folks did it!
