I stumbled across this info yesterday. Looks pretty cool. I'm slowly setting up my cord cutting alternatives and I've subscribed to a couple of cord cutting email newsletters. I'm pretty interested, and will wait until the unit is available around Labor Day at Best Buy.

Anyway, if you're into this stuff, it may interest you. No more antennas (except this one unit, of course) and no more cable wires to the TVs. A little pricey, but I'm looking long-term.

Looks interesting. I don't do early adopting but will be curious how you like it.

PS - I checked Best Buy to see if they had it advertised. Two "Chromecast"-capable models also coming out. I don't know anything about Chromecast; have to read up.

This was advertised by Mohu to be available by Labor Day. Went to the Best Buy website -- still on Preorder status.

I checked out the Q&A -- the initial version of this will provide only one signal/"station" output; it has only one/single tuner (future version may have more than one tuner) -- I have no idea why this doesn't work like any other broadcast source, with multiple feeds that you can select & tune in a particular station/output. So, as long as you are watching on only one TV/device, or everyone in your household is happy watching the same exact thing across more than one device, then this (still) looks good. It's not looking good to me, now.

if your like me you are not close enough to use such a small area inside antenna so its a moot point. I went with what is considered one of the best- Channel Master. I got the 100,mile antenna the adjustable hi/lo gain amplifier. Tried it upstairs, in the attic and outside on my shed. Could not pull ion enough stations and those i did were not all the major networks. new York and Philly are about 65 miles from me but there is way too much in the way over that mileage

So i am a SlingTV user for my cable stations and "most" broadcast TV. CBS wants to charge $6/month for their All Access and ABC is only available IF you have a cable TV package. So i will drop to the $10/month local TV cable package for those two and be a SlingTV user (which requires an internet connection)

I have no experience yet with OTA, as I thought that the Mohu Airwave would really be neat. I'm going to skip that. I'll begin my OTA experiments with a paper clip stuck in the antenna port of a LED TV. Cheap antenna, if it works. (I saw this on YouTube.)

PS - Gman, I grew up about half-way between NYC and Philly (outside of Washington, Warren County). We had a regular antenna on our roof (big thing). Sitting on top our TV we had a separate control box with a single spring-loaded chicken head knob for a wired connection to a bi-directional motor on the antenna pole. You had to rotate the antenna (L/counterclockwise or R/clockwise with the knob) until you could get the best picture you could get on the TV. So, if you were watching a NYC station, you'd have to rotate the antenna again to get a Philly station. It's inconvenient, but maybe something like that would work for you?

...........well, I guess that's very practical nowadays....

That looks like a nice product. Too bad it's not out yet. If you're looking for similar functionality, check out the Tablo box. It's a DVR that accepts any OTA antenna signal and allows access via apps. I was going to go this route but it's too hard to pull in signals for CBS and ABC from my home. I was going to pair this with Sling TV (which I just cancelled)

I also just cancelled my basic cable package that I was using for the 4 major broadcast networks. I've replaced Sling TV with PS Vue, which has all 4 local broadcast stations as well as the full gamut of cable channels (except for Viacom). The only Viacom channel I need is Nick Jr. for the little. We access that with an app now.

I used the antenna websites where you put your address in and they give you actual compass headings to point the antenna

I pointed to Philly and to NY and never got the major network channels I wanted. I am in Toms River on the shore and I guess there is too much in the way unless I wanted to build a 50ft tower in which case i need a variance!

I use Sling for $25 and will cut my cable to the $10/month local only TV to get CBS and ABC. Sling gets me the cable channels I watch and for $5/month they will give me a cloud DVR
