Anybody here play and sing Blackbird?

I don't have a very broad vocal range and find the original G to be too high for me to sing in. My only option has to be to detune my guitar two half steps to F since singing it an octave lower does not work very well. However, its still a bit of a mystery to me. Cant really get the singing part sound good. Not even on pitch many times.

Anybody here had the same troubles and issues as I have? How did you solve them?

Rather than detune your guitar, have you considered transposing from the key of G to D or E?

I know this is an old thread, but figured I'd toss this in.

Rather than de-tuning the guitar use a Digital-Tech drop pedal for that one song.
